Nissan Supports Habitat for Humanity With Affordable Housing Grant
Doing Good For Our Community
The organization known as Habitat for Humanity has worked in local communities across the United States to bring affordable housing to residents who otherwise might not be able to support their families. Nissan has been working with the organization for the past 12 years, and as of last month, the company contributed a grant of $1 million to various local chapters of Habitat for Humanity across the country in support of their community efforts. By actively promoting volunteerism and funding home building projects led by Habitat for Humanity, Nissan is committed to making housing affordable in the communities where our employees and customers live. Let us show you how we are doing this very thing!
Volunteering Our Time To Help
In addition to the massive grant, Nissan will also have their employees volunteer at over 13 different locations in assisting Habitat for Humanity on construction and revitalizing projects. Plus, the company will be providing 10 different chapters with Nissan TITAN pickup trucks to help get the job done onsite by transporting tools and materials.
Habitat for Humanity enriches the lives of Future Homeowners with its program where they take educational classes and contribute volunteer hours that teach them how to build and maintain their new home.
Nissan Is Partnering With Habitat For Humanity
Nissan’s partnership with Habitat for Humanity, along with their financial contributions and volunteer assistance, help provide homeless and struggling families across the U.S. with the knowledge and skills they need to get back on their feet. Overall, Nissan employees have logged nearly 100,000 volunteer hours with the organization and that includes all of us at South County Nissan in Gilroy, CA!
